FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
In In His Mind: A Study of the Heart of Jesus as Revealed in the Beatitudes, author and longtime Bible teacher Dr. Tony Hopper invites readers to look beyond simply following in the footsteps of Jesus and consider the attitudes, principles, and heart that shaped the way Christ lived. Drawing from years of biblical study, teaching, ministry, and personal experience, Dr. Hopper offers an insightful exploration of what it means to develop the “mind of Christ.”
From his many years of studying and teaching the Beatitudes, Dr. Hopper examines the eight Beatitudes found in Matthew Chapter 5 as a window into the character of Jesus. At the center of the book is a simple but challenging idea: following Christ involves more than outward actions—it calls believers to develop the mind of Christ and allow His principles to influence the decisions they make every day.
Through biblical teaching, personal experiences, and stories gathered throughout his life and ministry, Dr. Hopper connects the principles of the Beatitudes with everyday Christian living. His perspective has been especially shaped by his mission trips to Africa, where he has taught the Beatitudes to churches, church leaders, and students in schools of preaching.
At the heart of In His Mind is the belief that developing the mind of Christ is essential to living a glory-filled Christian life. Whether facing major life decisions or the seemingly small choices of everyday life, Dr. Hopper encourages readers to allow Christ’s teachings to shape their perspectives, decisions, and relationships.
More than simply a study of Scripture, In His Mind challenges Christians to consider not only how Jesus walked, but how He thought, responded, loved, and lived. The book offers readers an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Beatitudes and discover practical ways to apply the heart of Christ to their own lives.
Together, Dr. Hopper's books span Christian teaching, international missions, family history, memoir, and music, offering readers a unique collection of stories and lessons shaped by a life of faith, service, learning, and personal experience.
